What is dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a learning disability. The word dyslexia which is for dyslexic people a very unlogical name since it is hard to spell. However the name has a deeper meaning. The beginning dys stand for not functioning well and lexis stands for languages and words. For a person with dyslexia who is a dyslexia has trouble making connections between letters and words and the sound and/or the image of the written word. Therefore it takes a dyslexic person longer to read and understand the story a dyslexic person usually also has trouble with spelling, writing and structuring a story. Dyslexia is not for everyone the same, some have more trouble reading and the other with spelling. There are also different levels of dyslexia. One can have a sever form and the other a light form.
